Aalto University was founded in 2010 as Helsinki University of Technology, the Helsinki School of Economics and the University of Art and Design Helsinki were merged. The main campus is located in Otaniemi in Espoo, Finland. The other campuses are in Töölö and Arabia in Helsinki

Information Technology Program (ITP) is a summer minor program (24 ECTS) that brings students together from diverse backgrounds and all around the world to solve digital business problems. ITP enables students to combine business, design, and technological perspectives, making it an ever-changing and valuable education module. ITP prepares students for a future of data-driven and evidence-based decision making in the digital economy.

Otaniemi is a rapidly growing and developing area that unites the university's researchers, teachers and students. The new campus is developing into a unique centre of cooperation that attracts partners from all around the world. An open and experimental campus encourages the sharing of ideas.

The campus and its immediate vicinity is the site for many of Finland's largest companies' headquarters, not to mention home to a great number of smaller companies. Otaniemi is the home of over two thousand students.
All of Aalto University's schools have a presence in Otaniemi. Other Aalto University campuses are located in Töölö and Arabia, Helsinki. The University also has facilities in Mikkeli, Vaasa and Pori.

A minimum CGPA of 2.67 is required

If you have a non-Canadian citizenship, you may or may not be able to apply for a student visa at the Vancouver location of the Finland Consulate. Nationalities requiring an entry visa are normally required to travel to Ottawa to apply for immigration documents. Aalto University Information Technology Program (ITP) brings students together from diverse backgrounds and all around the world to solve digital business problems. ITP enables individuals to combine business, design and technological perspectives, making it an ever changing and valuable education module.

ITP is a program that includes three alternative specialisation tracks. Each track consists of four different courses: three lectured courses and one project course. Students can only participate in the whole program in one specialisation track, not just in one individual course. The three specialization tracks are:

 

  • Information & Service Business (ISB)
  • Strategy & Experience Design (SED)
  • Digital & Interactive Ecosystems (DIE)

Although Aalto University cannot make a promise of student housing for ITP applicants, ITP staff are more than happy to help students with finding accommodation in Helsinki. However, the student pays the cost of the accommodation, living and travels.
